Story of MISP

A BRIEF HISTORY

Mary Immaculate School (Parañaque), Inc. (MISP) owes its
existence to the charism of the late Mother Margherita Maria Guaini, the
Mother Foundress of the Missionary Sisters of Jesus the Eternal Priest,
who envisioned an institution as its share in the task of spreading the
Gospel witnessing Christ’s presence in the world.
A Catholic school founded on March 2, 1994 with the primary
concern of quality education for the young, advancement of knowledge,
promotion of culture, and the transformation of values. MISP started with
82 pupils in kindergarten in 1994. In response to the numerous requests
of parents for their children to continue receiving catholic education, the
MGES Sister opened the primary grades (1-IV), which led to the opening
of the intermediate grades the following year. The Preschool was
recognized by the DECS in June 1995 and the complete elementary
course in 1997.

As of 2008, the Institution opens its High School Department
equipped with the latest facilities to further boost MISP’s intention in
providing quality education in the 21st Century.
In 2018, Mary Immaculate School (Parañaque), Inc. (MISP) offered a
dynamic Senior High School program with three specialized academic
tracks:
1. ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management): Students learned
the basics of business, finance, starting their own business, and
budgeting. This strand prepared them for business administration,
economics, and commerce.
2. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math): With cuttingedge labs and dedicated teachers, MISP equipped STEM students to
explore scientific questions, devise technological solutions, and tackle
challenging math problems. Graduates were poised to lead in fields like
science, medicine, engineering, and IT.
3. HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences): This strand delved into
interesting topics such as literature, philosophy, sociology, psychology,
and political science. HUMSS graduates were empathetic, culturally
aware, and skilled at analyzing data, ready to make a difference in areas
like education, journalism, law, and social advocacy.
MISP fostered holistic growth, encouraging students to pursue
interests, develop leadership skills, and engage in extracurricular
activities. It remains a beacon of hope and opportunity for Parañaque
City’s youth, emphasizing academic excellence and values-based
education.
