Story of MISP

A BRIEF HISTORY

Mary Immaculate School (MIS) owes its existence to the charism of the late Mother Margherita Maria Guaini, the Mother Foundress of the Missionary Sisters of Jesus the Eternal Priest, who envisioned an institution as its share in the task of spreading the Gospel witnessing Christ’s presence in the world.

A catholic school founded on March 2, 1994 with the primary concern of quality education for the young, advancement of knowledge, promotion of culture, and the transformation of values. MIS started with 82 pupils in Kindergarten in 1994.

In response to the numerous requests of parents for their children to continue receiving catholic education, the MGES Sister opened the primary grades (1-IV), which led to the opening of the intermediate grades the following year. The Preschool was recognized by the DECS in June 1995 and the complete elementary course in 1997.

As of 2008, the Institution opens its High School Department equipped with the latest facilities to further boost MIS’ intention in providing quality education in the 21st Century.
